All LER classes are exclusively Online and will provide the appropriate number of Nursing Contact Hours, CERPs, and/or CMEs.

Certain LER classes (the Enriched Lactation Consultant Training Program, the 95+ hour Physician Lactation Consultant Training Program Enriched Program, the Core Lactation Consultant Course, the Enriched Exam Review, and Exam Review, Lactation Consultant Bridge Course) are intended for preparing for the IBLCE certification exam. No guarantee is offered or implied regarding successful passing of the IBLCE Certification Exam. The course will offer comprehensive coverage of lactation management topics. Individual study is additionally required.

Certain LER classes (including but not limited to the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative Training Programs found on FirstLatch.net) are intended for preparing for the Baby Friendly Hospital designation process. No guarantee is offered or implied regarding successful designation. The course will offer comprehensive coverage of lactation management topics. Changes in hospital policies and procedures are also required.

Online classes are subject to scheduled and unscheduled service interruptions and loss of server data. Although this is an unlikely scenario, LER is not responsible for loss, deletion, corruption, or data loss of course files that occur in connection with the service.

LER owns the property rights to the classes on our website and grants the user non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sub-licensable, non-salable use of the class materials.

LER offers lactation management classes for adults. Viewing images of certain body parts are an integral part of lactation education and is strictly for medical education.

In order to participate fully in LER Online courses, you must maintain your computer with current software and recommended add-ons. You will need fiber optic, cable, or DSL Internet service for the best performance of the course software.

Training Courses are available online for a term of one year.

Students who would like to extend their course access may Click here to purchase an extension if the course was originally purchased within the last 3 years. Courses older than 3 years cannot be extended.

Exam review courses are not eligible for extensions.

Handouts developed by LER for breastfeeding parents and for lactation professionals are available for download and may be freely reproduced. Please keep the LER identifying information intact.

Students may withdraw within 30 days of registration and receive a partial refund for portions of the class that have not been completed. A partial certificate is issued for the portions of the class that have been completed. A five percent fee will be applied to all returns.

There will be no refunds after 30 days of course registration.

• Exam review courses are not eligible for refund.
• Onsite or in person events are not subject to refund.

When a group of students wants to purchase online training courses at the same time, we will establish a discount code for your group that can be accessed for 1 week. The discount schedule is as follows.

  3 - 4 students = 10% off

  5 - 9 students = 15% off

 10 or more students = 20% off

To obtain a group discount code, simply have all members of your group create an account. Then email all USER IDs within your group to support@LactationTraining.com Your discount code will be emailed to you for use at check out.

Students who reside in a country that has been identified by the World Bank as an Upper-middle-income, Lower-middle-income, or Low-income economies may obtain a discount on select courses. We will provide a discount code which may be used once towards the purchase of courses indicated on the International Discounts page. This code is not transferable, may not be combined with any other offers and expires one week after being issued.

LER offers a special discount program for active and retired service members and their partners or spouses. This program allows individuals to receive 20% off any online course offered by LER. To take advantage of this discount, individuals must show proof of their active or retired service status. This can be done by presenting a copy of their ID card, LES, DD214, or if not in the US, relevant military or veteran ID card. This discount is only available to those who have served or are currently serving in the military, as well as their partners or spouses.

Additional Terms and Conditions - TieLER

The following Terms and Conditions apply specifically to the TieLER product.

You may return your product within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, provided it is in its original condition and packaging. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the product is defective. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned product. The refund will be issued to the original payment method.

A limited warranty applies to TieLER purchased directly from Lactation Education Resources (LER) or any of its authorized distributors. The limited warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship in the first 12 months. If a defect is discovered, LER will replace it at no additional cost (shipping not included). Please contact us at TieLER@lactationtraining.com within seven days of receipt to verify the defect (please include pictures) and receive further instructions to return the product and receive an exchange.

Upon purchase of the TieLER, Lactation Education Resources grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Product for educational purposes only. Commercial use is prohibited without written authorization from Lactation Education Resources. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Product, nor remove any proprietary notices. Lactation Education Resources reserves the right to enforce its intellectual property rights and may take legal action against unauthorized use. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. By purchasing and using the Product, you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any objections to such jurisdiction or venue.

LER reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
