Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Lactation Education Resources (known from here as LER) is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. LER only has access to and collects information that you voluntarily give us via email, account registration, or other direct contact from you. LER will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
LER will use this information to respond to inquiries communicated to us. LER will not share this information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request or to maintain our accreditations.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, industry insight, newsletters, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

•Change/correct any data we have about you.
•Have us delete any data we have about you.
•Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Registration

LER holds all information collected about our students in the strictest confidence. Names and email addresses are necessary to process Online classes. You will also be asked to provide professional demographic information (such as healthcare professionals, and IBCLC credential status) about yourself, you may select ‘ Not Applicable’ if you wish to opt out of providing this information. This information is required by credentialing agencies which we report to annually and is not shared in a personally identifiable manner. For example, we provide the total number of students who hold the IBCLC credential but not who is IBCLC.

Orders

LER requests information from you during the registration process. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and email address). This information is used for billing purposes and to provide education. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you. We use PayPal for credit card processing to purchase our courses. You are not required to create a PayPal account to purchase from us. Select the option that says, “ Pay with card&rdquo, and no account is needed to finalize your transaction. We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a website visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. We use Google Analytics to improve website performance and to insure we are delivering quality content for users on our website. We use Google Ad Words to market courses that may be of interest to our students. We use Facebook Remarketing to provide information and ads to Facebook users who have expressed interest in our website and lessons. This website contains links to other sites. Classes may include hyperlinks to sites maintained or controlled by others. LER vets these websites at the time they are posted. Neither LER nor the individual instructors are responsible for hyperlinks that have moved or changed their content. LER will endeavor to find a replacement for hyperlinks that become inoperable. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. LER may request information via a survey upon completion of select courses. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of our courses and for reporting student satisfaction to our credentialing agencies.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page. Any changes to this policy will be effective at the time they are published on the website.
