Kathleen Buckley PhD RN

Dr. Buckley is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Maryland. She has taught courses in pediatric nursing, nutrition, and health promotion.

Her research interests and professional publications have focused on long-term breastfeeding, the benefits of at-breast feedings, and the use of technology for delivering breastfeeding support.

Dr. Buckley has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant for twelve years, and continues to practice clinically as a home health nurse specializing in the care of premature infants.
